Sam Lee’s music erupted onto the folk music scene in 2012 with his debut album Ground Of Its Own. Nominated for a Mercury Prize and generally heralded by many as something quite unique, Sam’s music delves deep into tradition whilst remaining staunchly original. Mixing Japanese koto, trumpet, cello, violin, flute, and multifarious percussion, and drawing on the little known traditions of the Traveller community, his music is full of ancient ritual and brand new life. This year sees the release of Sam Lee’s More For To Rise EP brimming with colour, energy and sumptuous instrumental inter-play.

The Magic Lantern is the moniker of London based musician Jamie Doe who writes songs that sound deceptively spare and starkly beautiful, but which open up to reveal a warmth, humour and wisdom that belies his age.
