Julian Nicholas came to prominence in the groundbreaking big band Loose Tubes, and since then has gone on to work with the likes of American pianist Kirk Lightsey, Czech pianist Emil Viklicky, not forgetting the legendary Jimmy Witherspoon and Harry ‘Sweets’ Edison.

As well as playing tenor sax for other artists, Julian over the last decade has led his own heavyweight ensembles featuring players such as Martin France, John Parricelli and Steve Watts.
