Jacqueline du Pré Music BuildingIan Pace, a pianist renowned for his uncompromising commitment to musical modernism, leads us in a weekend-long exploration of Michael Finnissy’s History of Photography in Sound. The composer will be discussing his work on Saturday afternoon, followed on Sunday by a performance in three instalments (at 1.30 pm, 4.30 pm and 7.30 pm) of this richly complex, kaleidoscopic, and allusive piece. These concerts mark the launch of Pace’s latest recording of this five-and-a-half-hour epic.
