It should be a cliché to say this band have eclectic influences, but it isn’t, you can actually hear them, all. An ensemble as at home with the great minimalist composers as they are with spiritual choral music, folk song and the most creative of pop artists. Firefly Burning combine all this into something solid, new and exciting.

Strings, guitar, gamelan, bass synths, piano and gongs weave echoes of Beach Boys, Kate Bush, Steve Reich and Sufjan Stevens into close vocal harmonies and intricate rhythms.

Firefly Burning released their debut Lightships in 2011 and have just completed a bold new album entitled Skeleton Hill working with Tim Friese-Greene from seminal band, Talk Talk.
