The UK’s top exponent of the cumbia – the native music of Colombia’s Caribbean coast, originally a cultural fusion of native Colombians, African slaves and the colonial Spanish. A horn and percussion heavy 10 piece, Baila La Cumbia play the ‘big band cumbia’ sound of the ’60s and also spice their sets with some fiery salsa numbers.
