The enterprising and generous chaps from Black Hats have arranged the Witney Winter Festival, which will take place throughout the day on 18 December, at Fat Lil’s in Witney. For just four quid – or three quid if you arrive after 7.00 pm or buy tickets in advance (they’ll be on sale through WeGotTickets soon) – you can avail yourself of musical entertainments from a host of excellent Oxfordshire bands. The timetable is as follows…

• 3.30 pm-4.00 pm: Colour Change for Camouflage
• 4.15 pm-4.45 pm: Acoustic set from James of Alphabet Backwards
• 5.00 pm-5.30 pm: Very Nice Harry
• 5.45 pm-6.15 pm: Empty Vessels
• 6.30 pm-7.00 pm: Deer Chicago
• 7.30 pm-8.00 pm: Black Hats
• 8.15 pm-8.45 pm: Secret Rivals
• 9.00 pm-9.30 pm: Phantom Theory
• 9.45 pm-10.15 pm: Dead Jerichos
