PADDOX - Aphrodisiaque packaging

Debut PADDOX album to be a concrete-clad behemoth – listen to a sample track

PADDOX is a relatively new Oxford-based ambient electronica group, producing relaxed, slowly unfolding multi-layered soundscapes that form a neat distillation of several generations of ambient sonic exploration. Their members include Kit Monteith, previously known as the drummer of Trophy Wife.

PADDOX will release their debut album Aphrodisiaque on 1 December, as a vinyl release coordinated by both Bear On A Bicycle and One Note Forever. Most excitingly, they’re going all out on packaging, and the record will be wrapped in a three kilogram (!) concrete sleeve, formed with 3D-printed moulds.

The record is available to pre-order now, and will be launched with a gig at Oxford’s Old Fire Station on 29 November.
