The cryptically-named Zenshit is a brand new club and gig night, starting this week, that will run every two months at The Cellar in Oxford. It’s the brainchild of some of those Blessing Force types, along with some of their wider circle of musician and artist friends.
The first Zenshit, to be held from 8.00 pm on Thursday 25 April and running until 3.00 am, is a dual launch night for Kill Murray – launching their new EP Microscopic Feel – and Blessing Force – launching their new mixtape, Stutters Two. The line-up for live music is Pet Moon, Kill Murray, Motherhood and Salvation Bill, and there will be DJ-related shenanigans also taking place, with Dog Is Dead (following their own gig at O2 Academy 2 the same evening), Jonquil and Zenshit folks handling the, um, wheels of steel.
Fans of free stuff, take note: anybody that buys an advance ticket to the event will receive an exclusive download of Stutters Two, which includes tracks by Pet Moon, Solid Gold Dragons, NZCA/LINES, Limbo Kids, Jonquil, Big Cosmos, Trophy Wife, Rhosyn, Motherhood, Chad Valley, Adam Gnade, Sisterland, Honor Gavin, Animal Worship, Hugo Manuel and Pocket House. Woof!
Tickets are available from WeGotTickets for £5 (it’s £6 on the door). Find out more about Zenshit at their website.
