The Trophy Cabinet have bulked out a two-track single released back in July, to now present their five-track High Stakes EP. As well as ‘Gliding’ and ‘High Stakes’ as featured on the previous single (which, if you’re so inclined, you can read about here) the EP includes ‘Mettle’, ‘The Product’ and ‘No Vote’.

It all sounds rather sprightly and classic-indie-pop in intent; albeit with the odd touch of ire and fire. It ticks the box marked ‘old McCarthy songs’ just as much as it does ‘more recent Wedding Present songs’. And that can’t be bad?
