DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the magic of the Arabian Nights stories in the oldest surviving animated feature film\, The Adventures of Prince Achmed. The 1920s film by Lotte Reiniger will be screened\, accompanied by a live score from Flights Of Helios\, as performed at the After Hours Cinema Club at the Pitt Rivers Museum\, Oxford in March 2014. No booking required but please arrive early to guarantee your seat.\nThis is part of Ashmolean's Magic Museums at Night event\, an evening of magic. Curators will be presenting the magical and mystical objects of the collection while visitors are invited for magic shows and workshops\, tarot reading\, stargazing\, film\, live music\, flamenco dance and more.\nThe film and music part of the evening takes place from 8.45 pm to 10.00 pm; Magic Museums at Night will be on from 7.00 pm.\nMore information at www.facebook.com/events/448472011951907
