DESCRIPTION:The notions of chance and indeterminacy were essential to much of John Cage’s output\, and they are particularly vital for his music-theatre piece Roaratorio. Instead of a traditional musical score\, Cage provided a set of instructions on how any book may be adapted for ensemble – leaving decisions on the subject\, duration\, and scoring of the piece to the performers involved.
