Dele Sosimi played rhythm keyboard for seven years in the '80s for the Afrobeat founder and political activist – the Nigerian legend\, Fela Kuti. Afrobeat is a fusionary genre that takes in West African highlife with funk and jazz to produce a richly polyrhythmic music.\nWARA: Wara express the Latin American experience of living here in the UK today with a sound that takes in Cuban salsa\, timba and Latin-funk with UK soul\, hip hop and reggae. They create pioneering grooves with lyrics that are socially conscious and full of humour.\nDunajska Kapelye Duo: The Dunajska Kapelye duo (The Danube Band) combine Polish virtuoso violinist Piotr Jordan and Oxford music graduate\, the multi-instrumentalist Zac Gvirtzman on accordion.
