He has mastered all the imperative traditional skills as well as the ability to project those skills to more contemporary styles. He draws from his own life experiences and from what is happening in the world around him\, and puts his thoughts into his own style\, which has its roots in Americana and Modern Folk music. Similar in style to the likes of Steve Knightly\, Steve Earle\, Bruce Springsteen and Martyn Joseph\, Mark is not afraid to put his thoughts down in song. He is just as happy doing his own material or rousing covers.
