SUMMARY:The Possibilities Are Endless with Q&A and live Edwyn Collins acoustic set @ Phoenix Picturehouse\, Oxford
DESCRIPTION:MusicInOxford.co.uk have two tickets to give away to this event. To be in with a chance of winning\, simply retweet the tweet below! A winner will be chosen at random and notified on 22 October.\n\nhttp://twitter.com/musicinoxford/status/523044453997875202\n\nIn 2005\, the leader of beloved Scottish indie band Orange Juice\, Edwyn Collins\, suffered a massive stroke that left him able to speak just two phrases\, one being the title of this uplifting documentary charting his remarkable recovery.\nAided by his wife\, author Grace Maxwell\, and his son William\, Collins gradually learns to walk\, read and draw again\, eventually writing and recording two much-acclaimed albums\, a slow but painstaking process which James Hall and Edward Lovelace’s film skilfully recalls. Discussions between the quietly devoted couple\, a mesmeric soundtrack by Collins himself\, and stunning photography of their Highlands home complete this entrancing work.\nAfter the film screening\, there will be a Q&A featuring Edwyn Collins\, Grace Collins\, James Hall and Edward Lovelace\, and a live acoustic set from Edwyn Collins.\nMore information at www.picturehouses.co.uk/cinema/Phoenix_Picturehouse/film/The_Possibilities_Are_Endless\nThe event organisers have created a Spotify playlist to accompany the Oxford screening of The Possibilities Are Endless. They "invite the local audience to contribute tracks that evoke memories of Oxford for them\, reflecting the themes and relationship between memories and music the film showcases. The idea is for us to host them as Spotify playlists that anyone can add tracks to immediately."
