SUMMARY:Moddi @ A secret venue\, Oxford
DESCRIPTION:Moddi is a Norwegian singer with a breathtakingly beautiful voice. Having racked up hundreds of thousands of listens on YouTube\, Moddi will be playing at a special\, intimate venue in Oxford.\nPål Moddi Knutsen comes from a small fishing village on the tip of the island Senja in Northern Norway. His first encounter with music was singing a sea shanty on the local radio station as a five-year-old. He played the piano for a while\, tried trumpeteering in the school's marching band and bass guitar in a rock band until he started rapping at fourteen. When he left home\, fifteen years old\, Moddi started writing his own songs.\nHe often writes in the middle of the night\, without even seeing his own hands. The first songs came to life in the school dormitory's showers\, the only place he could hide away after everyone else had gone to sleep. At 18\, he found his mother's accordion standing unused and forgotten in the cellar at home. He brought it with him and fourteen days later\, he held his first real concert.\nThe Oxford venue will be announced to ticket holders.\nMore information at tigmus.com

SUMMARY:Dan Croll @ The Art Bar (formerly The Bullingdon)\, Oxford

SUMMARY:Fresh Out The Box 10th birthday with Shades Of Rhythm / Kostas G / Ed Steele @ The Cellar\, Oxford
DESCRIPTION:Fresh Out The Box celebrates its 10th birthday\, with old-skool legends Shades Of Rhythm providing the soundtrack for a good old-fashioned throw-down in true FOTB rave style!\nShades Of Rhythm: Nick Slater & LANX met when they were very young in their hometown of Peterborough. In 1989 things quickly started taking shape when multiple tracks from their self-pressed album Frequency took hold of the emerging Rave scene. Shades of Rhythm were thrown into a rave whirlwind and played alongside groundbreaking artists The Prodigy\, N-joi and K-Klass at raves and clubs such as Raindance\, Fantasia\, The Astoria and The Haçienda.\nKostas G is an emerging DJ and producer who has received praise and support from the likes of the Plump DJs\, Meat Katie\, and label head Lee Coombs; who after hearing his entry into the Thrust Recordings remix competition quickly snapped him up and recruited him to write a full-length artist album Kaleidoscope\, due out this autumn.\nEd Steele has DJed across the UK alongside acts including Altern-8\, James Holden\, Andrew Weatherall\, Alter Ego and Will Saul. His productions have now been snapped up by Bristol based Aux Technology and Census Sounds.\nMore information at www.facebook.com/events/1547556075476722.
