DESCRIPTION:Part of the Audiograft 2014 festival.\nSonic Catering Band: After a bout of food poisoning and a consequent dream concerning a telepathic alliance between Tory Health Minister\, Stephen Dorrell and a tapeworm sect\, The Sonic Catering Band formed\, striving to pursue a new working practice in electronic music whilst not having to worry about where their next meal would be coming from.\nGordon Monahan: Fruits and vegetables become voltage input controllers for a software-based audio synthesizer. Six fruits and vegetables are placed on a table. A zinc terminal and a copper terminal are inserted into each fruit and vegetable\, so that each organic object becomes an acid battery that produces approximately one volt of electricity.\nMarianthi Papalexandri: 'Untitled II' builds on modified membraphones developed by Marianthi Paplexandri-Alexandri as main instruments utilizing Pe Lang’s motor-activated devices. It is a work adaptable to any space that can be presented both as a sounding sculpture and as an instrument in the context of a solo live performance\, thereby questioning the role of the performer and the difference between performing and operating.\nMore information at www.audiograft.co.uk/wednesday-1203
