DESCRIPTION:It's been a long time coming but Spring Offensive's debut album is due for release on 10 March. The Oxford five-piece have steadily grown over the past three years\, to be widely considered the next break-out stars of the local scene. The boys have graced the Truck stage many times\, either in-store or at festivals\, and it's always a thrill to hear how versatile their songs are. Often their in-stores strip away much of the complex post-rock inspired epic guitar builds in favour of perfect vocal harmonies and subtle yet intricate percussion\, something that proves that the foundations of these songs are the key to their success. DESCRIPTION:Scottish troubadour Dave Arcari plays a show at The Haven Club (at the Art Bar) as part of a 14-date UK tour to promote his latest album Whisky In My Blood.\nArcari\, whose 2013 debut US tour was a resounding success (and sees him return to the States later this year)\, has just returned from a series of dates in Finland which got 2014 off to a good start. He has shared the stage with major artists including country/Americana legend Steve Earle\, the mighty Alabama 3\, Seasick Steve\, Toby Keith and veteran blues-rocker Robin Trower. A regular at UK and European festivals\, Arcari cites recent highlights as Glastonbury; Moulin Blues Festival in Holland; Belgium’s Peer Festival (alongside Jeff Beck\, Joe Bonamassa and Steve Winwood); BluesAlive in the Czech Republic and Poland.
