SUMMARY:X-1 / Partly Faithful / Jordan O'Shea @ The Wheatsheaf\, Oxford
DESCRIPTION:X-1: Loud\, abstract and totally fantastic\, if you like your hardcore twisted\, oddly shaped and strangely beautiful. This is a rare outing for the band\, who used to be all over the place about a decade ago. Now they’re older\, wiser\, and wider\, but definitely not quieter.\nPartly Faithful: They sound a little like Joy Division crossed with Bauhaus\, and some very reliable people have had this to say: “Fey sneer against guitar patterns that fire shards of icy riffs against a feral rhythm [that] brings to mind early PIL” – Terrorizer; “Angry\, at a time when more angry bands are desperately needed” - Artrocker.\nJordan O’Shea: One of the very finest new acoustic acts to have arisen in Oxford in recent years.\nTickets available from www.wegottickets.com/event/223358
