She describes the songs\, which were written mainly at the piano\, as "musical collages\, as much influenced by the paintings of Chagall as they are by folk song and the music of Steve Reich and Joanna Newsom".\nJoining her on harp and trombone is Canadian musician Ceri Owen Jones reprising his exquisite contributions to the album.
