The London Swing Orchestra @ Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford

Thursday 23 October 2014, 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

£20 / £10
The London Swing Orchestra

Graham Dalby and The London Swing Orchestra presents a chronology in words and music charting the amazing story of the rise of Jazz and Swing from Scott Joplin in 1900 through to Frank Sinatra in 1965. Featuring classics from Ragtime to Roaring 1920s, Goodman and Glenn Miller, Ellington, Satchmo and of course Sinatra – a treat for connoisseurs and beginners alike.

This event follows several previous concerts to support the work of the Trussell Trust which works to empower local communities to combat poverty and exclusion in the UK and Bulgaria. We work with the people that society forgets, providing practical help through sustainable projects and enabling each person to realise that they are valued. Our vision is to build communities where people of all backgrounds are included and have the opportunity to live in dignity with hope for the future.
