Sian Magill is one of the few lone singer-songwriters who manages to beautifully fuse a powerful voice, thoughtful lyricism and intricate acoustic finger-picking guitar. Her varying musical taste comes together to create a varied and beguiling performance, producing songs inspired by her folk roots, love of blues and jazz vocalists, and passion for literature and the written word. An up and coming talent not to miss.

Described by 6Music’s Steve Lamacq as a highlight of this year’s Cornbury festival, the nine piece folk and roots troupe The Knights Of Mentis deliver a distinct and flavoursome brew of Americana, country, folk, and roots music taking inspiration from artists such as Gillian Welch, Old Crow Medicine Show and The Band. Peter Graham, Jed Dale and Keith Birnie’s vocals deliver homespun lyrics inspired by “things we’ve felt and seen, places and people we know”, in rich three-part harmonies.
