The Sweatbox Youth Centre in Wantage are hosting their third consecutive Rock In The Park festival on 11 and 12 July 2015. Music will run from 12.00 pm to 7.30 pm on the main stage in Manor Road Recreation Ground, alongside a range of stalls, entertainments and promotions.

Rock in the Park is largely organised and staffed by a team of young volunteers from the youth centre supported by professional Youth Workers. The aim of the weekend is to showcase local talent, put on a great community event and to raise much needed funds for the Youth Centre.

The organisers are looking for musicians (bands and solo acts) of all genres and ages to apply to play at one slot over the weekend. They have 22 slots to fill. To apply to play Rock In The Park 2015, send an email to Beth at whitehartmusic@gmail.com with your act’s name, the genre your music best fits into, the location of your band (Wantage, Oxford, or elsewhere?), your availability for the weekend and a link to a social media site that contains your music. If you don’t have a social media site, attach an MP3 to your email.
